hey julius does marijuana smoke smell on your breath?
No. I always brush my teeth
More seriously, yes. After you smoke marijuana, it is usually pretty easy to smell it on your breath. Burnt cannabis has a very strong, very distinct odor, and is probably pretty obvious to anyone who smells your breath after you smoke. Even if the person in question can’t pick up the odor of marijuana itself, it is likely that they’ll notice a smokey smell on your breath after you’ve smoked.
Personally, I wouldn’t worry about it too much. Why? Well… the odor’s probably not as strong as you think. When you smoke, a good number of smoke particles bind to the hairs in your nose, causing you to smell the smell of pot smoke even when there’s none in the air. This “ghost odor” can make you think that you smell stronger than you do — not to mention the fact that, since you’ve recently smoked, your senses are slightly distorted as is…
If you’re worried about your pot smoking being obvious, however, your first concern should not be your breath. There are a number of other things that you can do to make sure that your recent toking isn’t easily observable. To read about those, take a look at Appearing Sober: What Methods Work?.
As for getting rid of “pot breath”… well… Brush your teeth.
Love,
Julius
